There are bad credit loans out there.

If you have been unfortunate to be stuck with a bad credit history you may have to settle for a Bad Credit loan until you can restore your credit rating. Loans that are structured for people with a poor credit history are available but will come with a much higher APR attached. 

Lenders will see you as high risk when lending you money, but you can restore your credit history if you keep up your payments. If you are having problems when applying for a loan you would be advised to check your credit report. These can be obtained from Experian or Experian both reputed credit history agencies. It may be that you have information on your report that is incorrect and it is preventing you from getting a loan.  

If you have a bad credit history and want to clean this up, beware of companies that offer to do this for you. The Office of Fair Trading frowns on these companies. These companies will ask you to call a premium rate number and are just front’s for companies waiting to sell you a loan which won’t be cheap. It’s advisable to do the cleaning up yourself. If you have county court judgments the only way these can be removed from your file is once you have paid any judgment debts and applied to the county court for a Certificate of Satisfaction which will be passed by the court to the credit reference agencies who will mark the debt as satisfied. 

Once you have been able to clean up your bad credit and have been approved for a loan make sure your payments are kept up-to-date and that you continually keep an eye on your credit report for any adverse information that may appear.
